Praise the LORD, Dear Friends,

GOD bless you and thank you for your prayers and sacrificial gifts and great love for JESUS and His Great Commission. JESUS is helping us reach more men and women, boys and girls for JESUS than ever before and we praise Him for all He is doing and all His blessings. Each person is a treasure of infinite value to our LORD JESUS because he gave His life for each one of us.

We think of Love on Valentine.s Day. With hearts, candy, flowers and other reminders in many of the stores to remember our sweethearts on Valentine.s Day, it is hard to forget. All the more we should remember the LOVE of GOD for us Who LOVES us above and beyond what we could ever think or imagine. JESUS has given us eternal life and all the treasures of LOVE and JOY in this life-far more than we could ever ask for or even think. Even greater, JESUS has given us eternal life with infinite LOVE and JOY, to look forward to.

JESUS told us in Matt 22:37-40; .Thou shalt love the LORD thy GOD with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.. It is so clear that JESUS wants us to love HIM and to love each other. Our love for GOD is shown by obedience to His commandments. JESUS said, .This is My commandment, that ye love one another as I have loved you.. John 15:12.

What is so amazing is that GOD the FATHER, JESUS and the HOLY SPIRIT LOVE us even when our Love to Him is so poor in return. In Rom 5:6-9, we are told, .For when we were yet without strength, in due time CHRIST died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, CHRIST died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him..

Our Love for GOD the FATHER, JESUS, and the HOLY SPIRIT is small when compared to His infinite LOVE for us for we are told in I John 4:7-8, that GOD is LOVE. .Beloved let us Love one another: for Love is of GOD; and everyone that Loveth is born of GOD, and knoweth GOD. He that Loveth not knoweth not GOD; for GOD is LOVE..

Too often, it seems that the love of the world, and the things of the world as well as lust for pleasures and things, try to take the place of the LOVE of GOD. GOD can see our hearts and knows when we love Him-really Love Him as He wants us to. Since GOD is the One Who has put Love in our lives and the greatest LOVE, GOD the FATHER, JESUS, and the HOLY SPIRIT abiding in us. If we are truly going to Love as GOD wants us to then we must abide in the FATHER, JESUS, and the HOLY SPIRIT.

We show that we love GOD by keeping His commandments. Obedience to the Great Commission and helping those in need in the Name of JESUS, are certainly ways that we can show love to GOD the FATHER, JESUS, and the HOLY SPIRIT. In Southeast Asian Missions, we are, with JESUS.s help doing a little of what JESUS commanded us. We have about 4,000+ churches the largest of which has about 10,000 people, and another that has about 3,000 people and then many have smaller numbers. Even if the churches only averaged 100 in each church, that would make about 400,000 new believers and growing! We praise JESUS for each new believer. There is so much more to do-we are reaching hundreds of thousands for JESUS but there are billions still to be reached for JESUS. We need JESUS to help in this great outreach. HE will never leave nor forsake us.

We are helping .Back to Jerusalem. the great movement of the Chinese Church who will have approximately 100,000 missionaries working on reaching the approximately 2.5 billion people in the 51 countries from China back to Jerusalem-on the old silk trade routes. These are primarily Moslems, Hindus, and Buddhists. We need to help the workers in these countries-some of which we are already working in-such as India where most of our workers are now. What a joy to share this with you. These are some of your treasures that the LORD is laying up for all of us as we work together for JESUS.

As I was praying early this morning, the LORD put in my mind the story of Ruth one of the great love stories in the Bible to share with you. In the Bible, the book of Ruth has the story of two widows, Ruth and her mother in law, Naomi. You should read the story again. The story really shows the LOVE of GOD for His people such as Naomi, and even the strangers who love HIM-in this case, Ruth. You remember the story how there had been a famine in Bethlehem-Judah, and Naomi, her husband and their two sons had moved to Moab. The sons married girls from Moab-Ruth and Orpha. After some years there Naomi.s husband had died and then her two sons died. Naomi was left with her two daughter.s in law- Ruth and Orpha. With nothing left to keep her in Moab Naomi decided to return to her home in Bethlehem-Judah. She was able to convince Orpha to return to her people in Moab. Not so for Ruth-she stedfastly wanted to go with Naomi. Naomi must have been full of GOD.s love.

Remember Ruth.s words to Naomi noted in Ruth 1:16-17. And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:

17 Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.. Her love for Naomi and for Naomi.s GOD were noted by GOD the FATHER. They were so good that GOD put the entire story in the Bible. But GOD did not stop there.

Our GREAT ALMIGHTY FATHER saw to it that Ruth went with Naomi back to Bethlehem, Naomi.s homeland. GOD arranged for Ruth to glean in the fields of Boaz. GOD touched Boaz.s heart to show kindness to her when he found that Ruth was a virtuous woman. GOD.s great love then worked out the details for Boaz to become her husband and the love story goes on. They have a son named Obed, who was the father of Jesse, the father of David. So that great love story goes on through the line of CHRIST JESUS our LORD and SAVIOR who Loved us so much that HE died to pay for our sins and for all who will accept HIM. So you see, GOD.s LOVE never fails-GOD.s LOVE is eternal.

We are seeking to Love our LORD JESUS by obedience to the Great Commission and by helping those in need as JESUS has commanded. This work is so great that we need the help of GOD ALMIGHTY, JESUS and the HOLY SPIRIT abiding in us to accomplish it all. Thank you for your great love for the LORD JESUS and for us too.

My beloved wife, Jan, is better but still needs more prayer for complete recovery. She tells me that when she suffers, it reminds her that JESUS suffered much more to pay for our salvation-what Love the LORD has given us.

Please join us in prayer for all the workers the LORD wants us to have. I am asking for 10,000 now to reach millions more for JESUS. I have been praying for JESUS to bless us in great ways to reach the multitudes still needing to hear the Good News-the Gospel of the LORD JESUS.

Included on the next page are two photos. The top is of Pastor Marc.s church. He has reached over a million people for JESUS and his congregation here has about 3,000. There are hundreds more daughter churches that he and his fellow workers have founded. They are reaching multitudes for JESUS.

The bottom picture is of Pastor Ebenezer who is another pastor who has reached thousands for JESUS and has a Bible School to train pastors and evangelists. The picture shows some of the orphans/fatherless of his children.s home. This man has planted many churches and trained pastors for them. Last year he was imprisoned for JESUS, but he still has Joy and is free now.

The world seems to be so interested in earthly treasure. Advertisements, magazines, books, TV and so much more are filled with enticements to buy this or that so that we will be happy. Instead, JESUS wants us to abide in HIM so we will be full of HIS Joy. .These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.. John15:11-12. These words of JESUS clearly tell us that abiding in JESUS and loving The FATHER, JESUS, the HOLY SPIRIT and others as ourselves will give us the Full JOY that JESUS wants us to have.

JESUS tells us to instead lay up our treasures in heaven. In Matt 6:20-21, JESUS tells us, . But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.. The LORD has helped us reach over a million people for JESUS and hundreds of thousands have accepted JESUS and their Savior. We have about 4,000 churches, the largest of which is about 10,000. These new believers were previously Hindus, Buddhists, Moslems and others that did not know JESUS.

If you consider treasures, these people are priceless treasures because JESUS gave HIS life for each of them and each of us. We thank the LORD JESUS for His great love for us and eternal life that HE has given us by paying for our salvation through His shed blood on the cross .Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon His name, make known His deeds among the people. Sing unto Him, sing psalms unto Him, talk ye of all His wondrous works. Glory ye in His Holy Name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. Seek the LORD and His strength, seek His face continually.. I Chron. 16:8-11. .O give thanks unto the LORD; for He is good; for His mercy endureth forever. I Chron. 16:34.These verses are from a Psalm of David when he brought the ark of GOD and set it in the tabernacle in Jerusalem. This was before the Temple was built. It was a time of great joy for David and the people and great praise, honor and glory to GOD. We have just had the celebration of the Day of Pentecost this past Sunday 27 May. This was the day that the Believers back from the early Church, and us as well, commemorate the coming of the HOLY SPIRIT to the apostles and disciples the 50th day after Passover. It was like the Spiritual Birthday of the Church with about 3,000 new believers on one day. We need the outpouring of the HOLY SPIRIT again today on the Church around the world. Yesterday there was a Global Day of Prayer broadcast in many nations around the world with about 500,000 participants. There were about 20,000+ in the great stadium in Hong Kong-mostly young Chinese Christians. What a power of prayer in the Church of our LORD JESUS around the world. JESUS has promised to answer, .And whatsoever things ye shall ask in prayer believing, ye shall receiving.. Matthew 21:22. As I write this, I have spent most of yesterday, the Day of Pentecost, and today, praying for my wife, Jan, who has been suffering greatly from her metastatic ovarian cancer. She is home and did not want to go back to the hospital where she had been just a few days ago for chemotherapy. Instead, she believes in the LORD JESUS to heal her completely and we are praying for this. We thank you for all your prayers as well. Doctors are limited in what they can do but JESUS, our GREAT PHYSICIAN is unlimited in all areas. Our trust is completely in HIM.

Such times like these really help us look at what we are doing for JESUS. Is HE pleased with us? Are we laying up treasures in Heaven or only here on earth? We are praising the LORD for His great goodness to us and SEAM His great mission outreach work that He is blessing. As we continue to abide in JESUS and His Words in us, we are seeing more answers and thousands more are coming to know JESUS as LORD and SAVIOR. This is the greatest joy that we can have here on earth. The treasures in heaven will be greater than anything that we can imagine. You are sharing in this great harvest and we thank you.

Jesus gave the Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25:14-30 two days before the Passover and the day before HE was crucified. This is a very important parable. In this parable JESUS said. .For the kingdom of heaven is as a man a man travelling to a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man, according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same and made them other five talents. And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord.s money. After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents; behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things.: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou has not strawed: And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.. Remember this parable is to remind us that the LORD wants us to be profitable servants in the things that please our LORD-the things JESUS has commanded us to do. By obedience to His commands we will be laying up heavenly treasures of eternal value. JESUS reminds us that all we have really belongs to Him-our LORD and Master. JESUS is intrusting to us earthly time and treasures to see if we will be faithful to serve and believe in the LORD and His promises and obey his commands. We are to use these GOD given gifts of earthly time and earthly treasures to do the will of the LORD. Remember that JESUS said to the first two profitable servants, .Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.. (v.21) JESUS words, .. enter thou into the joy of thy lord.. imply that they were to enter the joy of their lord with rewards for faithful service. This parable clearly implies that if we are profitable servants when our LORD returns that we will be entering into the Joy of our LORD JESUS who will be giving us eternal, heavenly treasures. The gift of eternal life is by believing in JESUS as LORD and SAVIOR. .For GOD so loved the world that HE gave His only begotten SON, that whosoever believeth in HIM should not perish but have everlasting life.. (John 3:16) In addition to eternal life, there are other eternal treasures which we may earn by serving the LORD and doing His will. .And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.. Revelation 22:12.

The period of time that their Lord (probably representing Our LORD JESUS) was gone appears to represent our lifetime since the punishment of the wicked, slothful servant was, .And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping, and gnashing of teeth.. (v.30). This obviously is hell, the final punishment of the wicked. This makes it more apparent that serving the LORD as a profitable servant, is eternally valuable. A few other observations on this parable of the talents, that make this a very important parable. If the talent was of silver it would be worth about $20,750.00 at today.s silver prices, and 5 talents would be over $103,000.00. If the talent was of gold, it would be worth about $1,036,000.00 at the present value, and the 5 talent servant would have received about $5,180,000.00. Why would JESUS use these great amounts of money in this parable? Well, the LORD was telling us about lives of eternal value-lives that are priceless- worth far more than great sums of earthly wealth. Since the parable is not about making money but about being profitable in the things that the LORD JESUS wants us to do, like preaching the Gospel so that people will accept JESUS as LORD and SAVIOR, we need to be diligent in serving JESUS. We have reached hundreds of thousands who now believe in JESUS as SAVIOR. With our faithful co- workers, we have preached the Gospel to over a million people. We are praying to reach millions more and see millions accept JESUS.

We are also profitable servants when we do those other things that JESUS has commanded us to do such as in Matthew 25:34-40, .Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer Him saying, LORD, when saw we Thee an hungred, and fed thee? Or thirsty, and gave Thee drink? When saw we Thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saws we Thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto Me. We will continue to serve the LORD in spite of the challenges that we have now. We .Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of GOD in CHRIST JESUS concerning you.. I Thessalonians 5:16-18. We are literally doing these things that JESUS has commanded us to do and much is ahead. I believe that the greatest outreach for SEAM is still ahead. We have been praying for 10,000 workers on the mission field and we praise JESUS that we have about 4,000 workers and churches now-mostly in India.

We have recently started helping in one of the greatest outreachs ever-the Back to Jerusalem movement to reach the people in 51 countries from China back to Jerusalem, including North Africa. There are approximately 2.5 billion people to be reached for JESUS and thus help complete the Great Commission that our LORD JESUS gave us. These countries are primarily Moslem, Hindu, Buddhist and other religions that in many cases have not heard the Gospel of our LORD JESUS. What we have started already is helping in this movement with the Chinese Christians and others to reach this vast multitude.

Over forty years ago when I was in Bible school, I promised the LORD to help reach the Chinese. In those days, China was closed to foreign missionaries, but the LORD is and has been helping many to help the Chinese Christians reach their own people. I have actually been to China a few years ago to visit one of the underground pastors who had already been in prison for twenty years for being a Christian pastor. Now, we work with others who are helping in China and with native Chinese Christians in and outside China to help spread the Gospel in China, again as we have in the past. Nearly all of our workers are natives of their own countries. Helping these multitudes know JESUS is the greatest joy in my life. With love and faith in our LORD JESUS Dr. Matt Patrick

Last year, I asked Dr. Rao, our India director, how many workers we had and he told me that we have about 3,500 churches with pastors/evangelists just in the areas that he directs. We many more elsewhere and we praise the LORD for each one.

Even with the great success on the mission field, we have had persecution. .Yea, and all that will live godly in CHRIST JESUS shall suffer persecution.. II Timothy 3:12. Some of our workers have been imprisoned, some beaten, and some attempts on their lives, e.g.-stabbed multiple times to stop or kill our beloved coworkers who are preaching the Gospel. It has actually caused the Gospel outreach to grow. We have had to pray for them and pay the authorities to help those who have been imprisoned to get them get out of prison and the LORD has given us success. We thank you for your help and prayers. The LORD continues to give us many thousands of new believers even with these persecutions. The tsunami a few years ago killed hundreds of thousands and affected many of our workers but with JESUS together with your help and prayers, our workers were able to help thousands in need of food and shelter and most of all, the love of JESUS. The Gospel continues to be preached and multitudes are turning to CHRIST.

P.S. Below is a picture of Pastor Ebenezer as he is teaching in his evangelical Bible School, training young men and women to do evangelistic work and start churches. In SEAM we have about 4,000 churches with pastors and evangelists of various ages already out preaching the Gospel. Praise the LORD for their love for JESUS. Pastor Ebenezer was recently released from jail along with other pastors-their crime was starting a new church. The radical Hindus attacked them and got the police to put them in jail.

Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, LORD, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? They shall he answer them, saying, Verily, I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life everlasting.. Dear friends, we are currently and for years have been doing these things JESUS has commanded us. This is part of the outreach of SEAM on the mission field in addition to the evangelistic work and orphanage work. However, we have much more to do and multitudes more to reach. Please join us in prayer for the LORD to provide all we need to do this great work of helping those in need. Remember what JESUS said in John 15:2 KJV-Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it (prunes it), that it may bring forth more fruit.. I believe that the LORD is pruning us so that we will bear more fruit. I want to thank you for your help and prayers. Even in our own family, my wife has metastatic cancer just diagnosed a few weeks ago after Christmas. In spite of surgery, she still needs a miracle to be healed. We are praying for the LORD to heal her completely. This is her third major life threatening illness and it appears to be another attack from the old evil one who is trying to destroy her and to hurt the mission. She has been my beloved wife for over 37 years and has been helping in the SEAM work with me for over 30 years. Please pray that the LORD will heal her and will bless us all as the mission continues to grow and reach more for CHRIST. The days ahead may be difficult but JESUS has said, ..I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. . Hebrews 13:5b. JESUS again, promised to be with us when HE said at the end of the Great Commission, ..and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.. Matthew 28:20b (KJV).

In those days, China was closed to foreign missionaries then and actually it still is but the LORD is helping us to help the Chinese Christians reach their own people and I have actually been to China some years ago to visit one of the pastors who had already been in prison for twenty years for being a Christian pastor. Now, we work with others who are helping in China and with native Chinese Christians in and outside China to help spread the Gospel in China, again as we have in the past. Nearly all of our workers are natives of their own countries. Helping these multitudes come to know JESUS is the greatest joy in my life.

Even with the great success on the mission field, we have had tribulation. Some of our workers have been imprisoned, some beaten, some stabbed to try to stop or kill our beloved coworkers who are preaching the Gospel. We have had to pray for and help those who have been imprisoned to help get them get out of prison and the LORD has given us success. Even in our own family, my wife has metastatic cancer just diagnosed a few weeks ago after Christmas. In spite of surgery, she still needs a miracle to be healed. We are praying for the LORD to heal her completely. This is her third major life threatening illness and it appears to be another attack from the old evil one who is trying to destroy her and to hurt the mission since she has been my beloved wife for over 37 years and has been involved in the SEAM work with me for over 30 years. With love in JESUS. Dr. Matt Patrick

A History of SEAM

Friends, moments before our Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven He addressed those disciples that were with Him with marching orders that have not expired even today. It is often referred to as "The Great Commission".

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, (even) unto the end of the world. Amen." (Matthew 28:19 & 20)

The Apostle James wrote: "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and the widows in their affliction, (and) to keep himself unspotted from the world." (James 1:27)

Friends, at Southeast Asian Missions we are doing these things. But, we cannot do this alone.

In Matthew 16:18 our Lord makes a statement to Peter: "And I say unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church..." The word "Church" is "Ekklesia" in Greek, which is "Assembly" or Assembled". Either word is plural or multiple or lots of people.

Southeast Asian Missions needs lots of people that will help spread the borders of our Kings kingdom until He returns.

In the weeks and months ahead this web site will grow with information and opportunities for you to know who SEAM is, what we do, and why. Many opportunities will abound for you to share in this labor of love for our King, the "King of Kings".
