South East Asia Missions - December 2001

"DECEMBER 2001

4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your
hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Phil. 4:4-7

Dear Friends, Let us rejoice this Christmas season because God
sent His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth on Him should not
perish, but have everlasting life!

The year 2001 has been a very memorable year, not only because
of the events surrounding the World Trade Center bombing, but also
because of all the WONDERFUL things that have been happening
on the mission field. I am happy to report that this past year,
because of the generous donations from all of you, our dear sponsors,
THOUSANDS of people, young and old, men and women, boys and
girls, have found the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

Please continue to pray for our workers on the mission field.
There has been tremendous persecution of Christians in many
of the countries in Southeast Asia. Some of the greatest persecution
has been in Indonesia, where our Christian brothers and sisters
have been beaten, tortured and killed because of their belief in
the Lord Jesus Christ.

Earlier this year I traveled to Rwanda, Africa, where I saw the
terrible things that had been recently done to our Christian
brothers and sisters: whole tribes have been almost completely
wiped out: I met a pastor and his wife who had lost all but two
of their children when their village was purged of Christians.
This pastor took me to a mass grave where thousands of martyred
Christians had been dumped for burial. I will never forget it,
nor will I forget the little children that I treated in a hospital
in Rwanda. Please keep all of these people in your prayers.

Before the end of January we will be sending year-end tax
receipts, as well as a year-end report of all the wonderful
things that were accomplished in 2001 because of your love,
your prayers, and your generous gifts to SEAM. May the Lord
bless you for your love."

Friends, moments before our Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven He addressed those disciples that were with Him with marching orders that have not expired even today. It is often referred to as "The Great Commission".

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, (even) unto the end of the world. Amen." (Matthew 28:19 & 20)

The Apostle James wrote: "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and the widows in their affliction, (and) to keep himself unspotted from the world." (James 1:27)

Friends, at Southeast Asian Missions we are doing these things. But, we cannot do this alone.

In Matthew 16:18 our Lord makes a statement to Peter: "And I say unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church..." The word "Church" is "Ekklesia" in Greek, which is "Assembly" or Assembled". Either word is plural or multiple or lots of people.

Southeast Asian Missions needs lots of people that will help spread the borders of our Kings kingdom until He returns.

In the weeks and months ahead this web site will grow with information and opportunities for you to know who SEAM is, what we do, and why. Many opportunities will abound for you to share in this labor of love for our King, the "King of Kings".
